Part I
I recently played the critically acclaimed Far Cry 2, Grand Theft Auto IV and Fallout 3 over the holidays and enjoyed them immensely. Here’s some quick feedback:
Fallout 3
Definitely my favorite of the three. It’s very enjoyable and extremely unique. I don’t have anything bad to say about it. I played long enough to escape the Vault and mingle a bit in Megaton.
Far Cry 2
Very well made FPS, but severely over rated. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun and engaging but not as much as the media portrays it. But with that said, it’s still entertaining and due to it’s sandbox nature, very addictive.
GTA IV
GTA IV is very true to it’s roots in most respects but their are some gripes:
- Too many f’ing phone calls about hanging out! I know you’re my cousin Roman, but shove it.
- People say it’s buggy, but my only issue is the memory leak.
- Despite having a cutting edge system, it still can’t play it on the highest setting - Crysis anyone?
I shouldn’t rag on it too much. The graphics are exquisite, the gameplay is great, the story still doesn’t matter. Oh how I enjoy causing mayhem!
Much More to Come, this is just a starter
